Account Specialist

The Account Specialist focuses on landing and expanding relationships with customers whose goals and requirements match up with the VPO team's experience and expertise. They qualify, engage, and excite leads--converting opportunities into salesThey not only add new customers to the VPO family, but also grow our business through cultivation of opportunities associated with our current client listAdditionally, in collaboration with marketing and subject-matter experts, they support the creation and execution of lead-generation campaigns. We stress quality over quantity, with respect to daily phone calls.

Principal (Essential) Duties

1. Conduct proactive outreach and interactions with prospects and leads via phone and email, with strong attention to detail.
2. Follow up on inbound marketing leads and identify qualified opportunities, providing appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects.
3. Nurture and develop sales opportunities from outbound prospecting and Account Management in addition to marketing-generated leads.
4. Participate in VPO sales meetings and demonstrations, and coordinate follow-up and next steps in a team selling environment.
5. Collaborate with the Customer Success team to deliver the most qualified and productive demos.
6. Partner with Customer Success/Solution Consultants to move prospects through the sales cycle to closure.
7. Update the CRM system to ensure the pipeline’s quality of information, including forecasting and reporting accuracy.
8. Quickly learn VPO, including the construction management technology ecosystem.
9.
Effectively communicate the value proposition of the VPO solution and be able to react to objections and competitive questions.

Experience/Education Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  2. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement.
  3. 2-4 years of experience in a software sales-related role
  4. Proficiency with HubSpot is a plus.
  5. Knowledge and/or experience in the commercial construction industry/domain is a plus.
  6. Authorization to work for any employer in the USA. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment Visa at this time.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

  1. Travel up to 5-10% to sites beyond the home office for company meetings.
  2. Perform light work – exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. 
  3. See, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity.
  4. Able to operate standard office/computer equipment.
